Your Family Decorator: Palm Beach Decorating Scene Offers Great Design Adventures

I guess you can call me the decorating man-about-town, what with all the activities in the Palm Beach design community this month. And if anyone noted fewer goings-on on the island a couple of weekends ago, it was because West Palm Beach was the center of design activities. The South Dixie Highway "Evening on Antique Row" fundraiser took place Saturday, March 7, from 5:30 p.m. on. Proceeds benefited the Historical Society of Palm Beach County, and the Palm Beach Daily News was among the event's sponsors.

Name Change Brings New Business to Antique Row

Evening on Antique Row...

West Palm Beach's Antique Row holds another traffic-stopping party tonight as the 14th Evening on Antique Row gets under way at 5:30.  South Dixie Highway will be blocked from Southern Boulevard to Greenwood Drive until 9:30, as more than 50 shops selling antiques, vintage furniture, fabric and art stay open late in what's become West palm Beach's art and design district.

Antique Row to be District

Join members of the Antique Row Association today as they celebrate the renaming of the Dixie Highway shopping area to the West Palm Beach Antique Row Art and Design District.

The name change is a way to reflect the influx of design studios and art galleries to the district, located between Southern Boulevard and Belvedere Road, said Doreen Danton, an association board member.
